Abstract

Community Partnership Program is one of the
community service programs which is problem solving,
comprehensive, meaningful, complete and sustainable aiming
for diverse targets. Among the problems faced by the
community especially the small and medium enterprises is the
utilization of technology. In particular, the problems which the
brick-making groups in Ujung Bulu Sub-district as PKM
partners have so far faced include: (1) insufficient knowledge
in the efficient and effective process of brick making, (2)
inadequate skills in accurate production of bricks, (3) low
capability in massive production of bricks, 4) Less information
about modern brick-making tools. The Community Partnership
Program (PKM) for the brick-making groups in Ujung Bulu
Sub-district aimed: (1) to increase knowledge in the efficient
and effective process of brick making, (2) to improve skills in
the accurate production of bricks, (3) to promote capability in
the massive production of bricks (4) to increase the knowledge
and skills in the modern production of bricks. The methods
used for the presentation consist of lectures, discussion, and
interactive questions and answers, and demonstration for the
applied technology. The Community Partnership Program for
the brick-making groups in Ujung Bulu Sub-district has
resulted in: (1) sufficient knowledge in the efficient and
effective process of brick making, (2) adequate skills in the
accurate production of bricks, (3) decent capability in the
massive production of bricks, (4) satisfactory knowledge and
skills in the modern production of bricks.
