Abstract


Abstract: This type of research is classroom action research which aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of integer subject matter in IVA grade students of Tallang-tallang Public Elementary School through the application of a jigsaw cooperative learning model. The subjects of this study were students of grade IVA of SD Negeri Tallang-tallang, Pallanga Subdistrict, Gowa Regency in the even semester of the 2012/2013 school year with a total of 32 students. This research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle carried out as many as 4 meetings. Data retrieval is done using test results of learning, observation and questionnaire. Learning outcomes data collected and observation data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of research on fourth grade students of State Elementary School Tallang-tallang through the application of jigsaw cooperative learning model experienced an increase in mathematics learning outcomes. This can be seen in the table and explanation in cycle I and cycle II in each action. In cycle 1 with an average value of 53.13 and an increase in cycle II with an average value of 70.00. This means, students have increased learning outcomes by 16.87. So, by applying the jigsaw cooperative learning model, the results of mathematics learning in integer subject matter at the senior high school IVA Tallang-tallang students can increase.
