Abstract


Abstract: Learning motivation for learners is a very important aspect because it will clarify the learning objectives and the meaning of the learning process. Real learning is when learners perform various activities that play a role in the development of cognitive processes and lead to the emergence of learning experiences and the interaction. Learning activities can be grown through a scientific approach is the application of Discovery Learning. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Discovery Learning in improving motivation, activities and learning outcomes of learners. This research is a descriptive research by collecting data through literature study. The implementation of Discovery Learning demonstrates the potential for improving students' motivation, activities and learning outcomes through the complex process of the model consisting of stimulation, problem statement, data collection, data processing, verification and generalization. Discovery Learning focuses on mental processes in assimilating a concept so it is very effective to improve learning motivation and learning activities that ultimately expected to improve student learning outcomes.
