Abstract. Design of Disc Braking System Model Bentor. The mobility of people in suburban areas is very high especially public transportation (pete-pete) just to reach the main road, so as to take the path of corners is currently used to transport bentor seeked corners and housing. The elimination of bentor been developed dimasyakarat because bentor transport vehicles are not roadworthy and this is because bentor just fitted so that when the rear brake will stop the wheels bentor tends to be dragged and the stop position farther than expected this would interfere with the safety of passengers. Elimination bentor of course, reduce employment and increase unem-ployment, so that the operation of the policy recommendations bentor very diperlukaan especially in areas that are inaccessible by public transportation. The recommendations include adding the braking system so that when stopped in accordance with the proper position. Design and research results bentor braking system with the addition of disc brakes on both front wheels, enables the driver when to stop the vehicle and provide a sense of security and comfort to the passengers.

Abstrak. Perancangan Sistem Pengereman Bentor Model Cakram.Mobilitas masyarakat di daerah pinggiran kota sangat tinggi terlebih lagi angkot (pete-pete) hanya menjangkau jalan utama, sehingga untuk menempuh jalur pelosok saat ini digunakan angkutan bentor yang dapat menempuh jalur pelosok dan perumahan. Isu penghapusan bentor selama ini berkembang dimasyakarat dikarenakan kendaraan angkutan bentor tidak laik jalan hal ini disebabkan karena bentor hanya dilengkapi rem belakang sehingga pada saat akan berhenti roda bentor cenderung terseret dan posisi berhenti lebih jauh dari yang diharapkan hal ini akan mengganggu keselamatan penumpang. Penghapusan bentor tentu saja akan mengurangi lapangan pekerjaan dan meningkat-kan pengangguran, sehingga rekomendasi kebijakan pengoperasian bentor sangat diperlukaan khususnya di daerah yang tidak terjangkau oleh angkot. Rekomendasi tersebut diantaranya menambah sistem pengereman sehingga saat berhenti sesuai dengan posisi yang tepat. Hasil Perancangan dan penelitian sistem pengereman bentor dengan penambahan rem cakram pada kedua roda depan mempermudah pengemudi saat menghentikan kendaraan dan memberikan rasa aman dan nyaman kepada penumpang.
