Peningkatan Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Kimia Melalui Kombinasi Metode Diskusi Dan Latihan Berstruktur (telaah pada pokok bahasan tata nama dan persamaan reaksi kimia)

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa melalui pendekatan diskusi dan latihan berstruktur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang pelaksanaan meliputi tiga siklus. Obyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-B SMA Negeri 1 Barru semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2010/2011 yang berjumlah 40 orang siswa. Pengumpulan dan analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif berupa hasil observasi dan angket, sedang secara kuantitatif  berupa  skor  tes  hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian diperoleh ; (1). kemampuan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Barru dalam penguasaan kimia, khususnya materi persamaan Tata nama dan persamaan reaksi kimia cukup baik, (2). pendekatan pembelajaran menggunakan kombinasi ”metode diskusi dan latihan berstruktur” sangat signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, khususnya pelajaran Kimia. Namun demikian masih diperlukan berbagai variasi pendekatan yang lebih efektif untuk diterapkan demi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.

ABSTRACT

Research has been done to improve the activity and student learning outcomes through a structured approach to discussions and exercises. This research is the implementation of a class action covering three cycles. Object of this study were senior high school students in grade 1 XB Barru odd semester of the academic year 2010/2011 which amounted to 40 students. Data collection and analysis carried out qualitative observations and questionnaires, were quantitatively studied the results of the test scores. The results obtained: (1). ability of class X in a SMA Negeri 1 Barru mastery of chemistry, especially the material equations and nomenclature of chemical reaction equation is quite good, (2). learning approach using a combination of "structured training methods and the discussion was" very significantly improve student learning outcomes, particularly the lessons of Chemistry. However, still required a variety of more effective approaches to be applied in order to improve student learning achivement.
