Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Head Together untuk Meningkatkan Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar pada Konsep Ekosistem bagi Siswa Kelas VII.A, SMPN 5 Takalar

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada konsep ekosistem melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif  Numbered Head Together (NHT). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII.A di SMPN 5 Takalar tahun akademik 2010/2011 sebanyak 28 orang siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian digunakan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui aktivitas belajar siswa, dan tes obyektif untuk menentukan hasil siswa belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan kegiatan belajar pada konsep ekosistem dengan persentase 63% (sangat aktif) pada siklus pertama dan 72% (aktif) pada siklus kedua. Aplikasi NHT juga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada konsep ekosistem dengan persentase 42,86% (atau kurang) pada siklus pertama dan 67,86% (baik) pada siklus kedua. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas VII.A SMPN 5 Takalar melalui penerapan model pembelajaran tipe NHT koperasi.

ABSTRACT

Classroom Action Research aimed to know the increase in activity and student learning outcomes on the concept of ecosystem through the implementation of cooperative learning model of numbered heads together type. The subject of this research are all of students in VII.A grade at SMPN 5 Takalar active during the academic year 2010/2011 with the number of students as many as 28 peoples. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis of qualitative and quantitative descriptive statistics. The instrument of this research was used the observation sheet to find out students' learning activities, and objective tests to determine student learning outcomes. The results showed that the implementation of cooperative learning model of NHT type can enhance learning activities on the ecosystem concept with the percentage of 63% (quite active) on the first cycles and 72% (active) on the second cycles. Application NHT type model of cooperative learning can also improve learning outcomes on the concept of ecosystem with percentage 42.86% (or less) on the first cycle and 67.86% (good) on the second cycle. Based on this research the writer can concluded an increase in activity and students' classroom in VII.A grade at SMPN 5 Takalar through the implementation of cooperative learning model NHT type.
