STUDI ANALISIS KARAKTERISASI DAN MIKROSTRUKTUR MINERAL SEDIMEN SUMBER AIR PANAS SULILI DI KABUPATEN PINRANG

Abstract


It has as conducted research studies on characterization and microstructural analysis studies sedimentary mineral hot springs Sulili in Pinrang. The purpose of this study to determine how the state morphology, crystal structure and the percentage of the mineral content of sediments around the hot springs in Pinrang Sulili using X- ray characterization Difraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope- Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM- EDS). Sediment samples obtained from hot springs Sulili in Pinrang by digging to a depth of 1-1.5 m as many as eight points, eight samples were then dried using an oven at a temperature of 70° C for 2 hours. The method used in this research is the method of powder. Eighth samples were then crushed and sifted in the sieve of 200 mesh. Characterization of the eight samples is done with the technique of X-Ray Diffaction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope- Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). Based on test results obtained SEM-EDS that state morphology of the eight samples is generally shaped slab or blob defects and sizes. While test results showed XRD mineral content in the sediment samples are dominated by kaolinite and quartz mineral.

Telah  dilakukan  penelitian  penelitian  tentang  studi  analisis  karakterisasi  dan  mikrostruktur  mineral sedimen sumber air panas Sulili di Kabupaten Pinrang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana keadaan morfologi, struktur Kristal dan persentase kandungan mineral sedimen di sekitar sumber air panas Sulili di Kabupaten Pinrang dengan menggunakan karakterisasi X-Ray Diffaction (XRD) dan Scanning Electron Microscope- Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). Sampel sedimen di peroleh dari sumber air panas Sulili di Kabupaten Pinrang dengan cara menggali dengan kedalaman 1-1,5 m sebanyak delapan titik, kedelapan sampel kemudian di keringkan menggunakan oven pada suhu 70o C selama 2 jam. Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode serbuk. Kedelapan sampel kemudian di gerus dan di ayak pada ayakan 200 mesh. Karakterisasi kedelapan sampel di lakukan dengan teknik X-Ray Diffaction (XRD) dan Scanning Electron Microscope- Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). Berdasarkan hasil uji SEM-EDS di peroleh bahwa keadaan morfologi dari ke delapan sampel pada umumnya berbentuk lempengan maupun gumpalan yang cacat dan ukuran yang bervariasi. Sedangkan hasil uji XRD menunjukkan Kandungan mineral pada sampel sedimen di dominasi oleh mineral kaolinite dan Quartz..
