Peer Review Process

Makalah yang dikirim dievaluasi oleh rewiewer anonim untuk kontribusi, orisinalitas, relevansi, dan presentasi. Editor akan memberi tahu Anda tentang hasil ulasan sesegera mungkin, semoga antara 1 - 2 bulan. Harap perhatikan bahwa mungkin pengiriman makalah dengan durasi proses peninjauan bisa sampai 3 bulan.

Reviewer mengulas teks dari aspek kualitas dan substansi tulisan (bukan teks tata bahasa), yang meliputi kesegaran, keaslian, kegunaan dan validitas kutipan dan daftar pustaka.

Reviewer menerima manuskrip double-blind review (penulis anonim) dari editor bagian atau sekretariat editorial. Jika tidak sesuai dengan kompetensi mereka, reviewer berhak untuk menolak naskah dan merekomendasikannya kepada orang lain resensi yang lebih kompeten.

Minimal satu orang resensi meninjau artikel dan satu artikel setidaknya ditinjau oleh satu pengulas.

Setelah ditinjau, akan ada empat jenis keputusan editor berdasarkan rekomendasi pengulas:

1. Pengajuan diterima : Pengajuan akan diterima tanpa revisi.
2. Diperlukan Revisi: Pengajuan akan diterima setelah perubahan kecil telah dibuat.
3. Kirim kembali untuk Peninjauan: Pengajuan harus dikerjakan kembali, tetapi dengan perubahan signifikan, dapat diterima. Akan tetapi, ini membutuhkan tinjauan putaran kedua.
4. Tolak Pengajuan: Pengajuan tidak akan dipublikasikan di jurnal.

Submitted papers are evaluated by anonymous referees by double blind peer review for contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation. The Editor shall inform you of the results of the review as soon as possible, hopefully between 1 - 2 months. Please notice that may be paper submissions to JMathCos the duration of the review process can be up to 3 months.

Reviewers examine the text of the aspects of quality and substance of the writing (not grammar texts), which includes the freshness, originality, usefulness and validity of citations and bibliography.

Reviewers received the manuscript double-blind review (anonymous author) of section editor or editorial secretariat. If it is not according to their competencies, the reviewer is entitled to refuse the manuscript and recommend it to others more competent reviewer.

One person minimum reviewer reviewing the articles and one article at least reviewed by a single reviewer.

After being reviewed, there will be four kinds of editor decision based on reviewers’ recommendation:

1. Accept Submission: The submission will be accepted without revisions.
2. Revisions Required: The submission will be accepted after minor changes have been made.
3. Resubmit for Review: The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, may be accepted. It will require a second round of review, however.
4. Decline Submission: The submission will not be published in the journal.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge in mathematics, computations, statistics, and applications.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Article Submission and Processing Charges

Kami tidak membebankan biaya kepada penulis untuk mengirim, memproses tetapi ada biaya untuk penerbitan (Rp 250.000, -) dan menarik kertas yang diterima (Rp 50.000, -). Pembaca dapat membaca dan mengunduh artikel teks lengkap apa pun secara gratis.

We do not charge authors any fee for submitting, processing but there are Fee for publishing (IDR 150.000,-) and withdrawn the accepted paper (IDR 100.000,-). Readers can read and download any full-text articles for free of charge.

Etika Publikasi

Jurnal JMathCoS berfokus pada studi penelitian tentang berbagai topik dan metode penelitian dalam bidang matematika, staistika dan komputasi. Jurnal JMathCoS diterbitkan dua kali setahun, setiap bulan April dan Oktober, berisi makalah / artikel tentang gagasan dan penelitian yang ditulis oleh para ahli, pendidik, ilmuwan, praktisi, dan pengulas dalam bidang matematika, statistika dan komputasi.

Pernyataan tentang kode etik publikasi ilmiah didasarkan pada Peraturan LIPI Nomor 5 tahun 2014 tentang Kode Etik Publikasi Ilmiah, yang menjunjung tinggi 3 nilai etik dalam publikasi, yaitu (i) Kenetralan, yakni bebas dari pertentangan kepentingan dalam pengelolaan publikasi; (ii) Keadilan, yakni memberikan hak kepengarangan kepada yang berhak sebagai pengarang/penulis; dan (iii) Kejujuran, yakni bebas dari duplikasi, fabrikasi, falsifikasi, dan plagiarisme (DF2P) dalam publikasi.

Tugas dan Tanggung Jawab Pengelola Jurnal

1. Menentukan nama jurnal, lingkup keilmuan, keberkalaan, dan pengajuan akreditasi apabila diperlukan. Menentukan keanggotaan dewan editor.
2. Mengatur keanggotaan komite redaksi.
3. Mendefinisikan hubungan antara penerbit, editor, pakar, dan pihak lain dalam suatu kontrak.
4. Menghargai hal-hal rahasia, baik untuk para peneliti, penulis / pengarang, editor, dan pakarnya.
5. Menerapkan norma dan ketentuan tentang hak kekayaan intelektual, terutama hak cipta.
6. Mempelajari kebijakan jurnal dan mengirimkannya ke penulis / pengarang.
7. Membuat pedoman kode etik untuk editor dan ahli.
8. Mempublikasikan jurnal secara teratur.
9. Memberikan jaminan ketersediaan sumber pendanaan untuk kelangsungan publikasi jurnal.
10. Pengaturan jaringan dan pemasaran.
11. Mempersiapkan lisensi dan hal-hal legal lainnya.

Tugas dan Tanggung Jawab Editor

1. Memenuhi persyaratan pembaca dan penulis.
2. Berusaha meningkatkan kualitas publikasi secara terus menerus.
3. Menerapkan proses untuk memastikan kualitas makalah / artikel yang diterbitkan.
4. Mempromosikan kebebasan ide secara objektif.
5. Menjaga integritas rekam jejak akademik penulis.
6. Menyerahkan koreksi, klarifikasi, pengembalian, permintaan maaf jika perlu.
7. Bertanggung jawab atas gaya dan bentuk tulisan, sedangkan konten dan pernyataan apa pun yang ditulis dalam penulisan adalah tanggung jawab penulis.
8. Secara aktif bertanya kepada penulis, pembaca, pakar, dan komite editor tentang pendapat dan saran mereka untuk meningkatkan kualitas publikasi.
9. Mempromosikan penilaian ke jurnal untuk setiap temuan.
10. Mendukung ide-ide untuk mengurangi kesalahan penelitian dan publikasi dengan meminta penulis / pengarang untuk melampirkan formulir Ethic Clearance mereka yang telah disetujui oleh Ethic Clearance Commission.
11. Berpartisipasi ide untuk mendidik para peneliti tentang etika publikasi.
12. Mempelajari dampak kebijakan publikasi pada penulis dan pakar dan memperbaikinya untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab dan meminimalkan kesalahan.
13. Memiliki sikap berpikiran terbuka terhadap ide-ide baru atau orang lain yang mungkin menentang pandangan pribadi.
14. Jangan memaksakan pandangan sendiri, penulis atau pandangan pihak ketiga yang dapat menyebabkan keputusan diberikan secara subyektif.
15. Memotivasi penulis untuk melakukan perbaikan yang konstruktif untuk memperoleh karya tulis yang tepat.

Tugas dan Tanggung Jawab Para Ahli

1. Menelaah karya tulis dan menyampaikan hasil telaahan kepada editor,
2. Meminta komite editor untuk meninjau karya tulis dan mengirimkan hasilnya kepada editor untuk menentukan karya tulis yang akan diterbitkan.
3. Peninjau tidak dapat meninjau karya tulis yang melibatkan dirinya secara langsung atau tidak langsung.
4. Menjaga privasi penulis untuk tidak mempublikasikan koreksi, saran, dan rekomendasi dengan memberikan kritik, saran, dan rekomendasi.
5. Memberikan dorongan kepada penulis untuk melakukan perbaikan pada karya tulis mereka.
6. Tinjau kembali karya tulis yang telah ditinjau berdasarkan standar yang ada.
7. Karya tulis ditinjau dalam waktu yang sesuai dengan dasar standar ilmiah yang ditentukan (Metode pengumpulan data, otorisasi penulis, kesimpulan, dll).

Tugas dan Tanggung Jawab Penulis

1. Memastikan bahwa penulis yang mendaftar telah memenuhi persyaratan sebagai penulis.
2. Secara kolektif bertanggung jawab atas profesinya dan isi artikel termasuk metode, analisis, perhitungan / pengukuran, dan detail.
3. Menyatakan sumbernya (termasuk dana) secara langsung atau tidak langsung.
4. Menjelaskan batasan dalam tulisannya.
5. Memberikan respons terhadap koreksi yang diberikan oleh ahli secara profesional dan tepat waktu.
6. Menginformasikan kepada editor jika ingin membatalkan keikutsertaannya.
7. Membuat surat pernyataan yang menyatakan bahwa karya tulis itu asli, tidak pernah diterbitkan dalam penerbit lain dan dalam bahasa lain, dan tidak sedang diajukan ke penerbit lain.

JMathCoS Journal focuses on the research of a study on a variety of topics and research methods in both sciences, mathematics, its education, and applied science. The journal welcomes articles that address common issues in mathematics, sciences, education, applied science and cross-curricular dimensions more widely.  JMathCoS Journal is published twice a year, every Maret and September, containing papers/articles about the ideas and the research written by experts, educator, scientist, practitioners, and reviewers in the sciences, mathematics, its education, and applied science discipline/study.

The statement of scientific publication code ethics is based on the LIPI Regulation Number 5 in 2014 about Scientific Publication Code Ethics, which uphold 3 ethic values in publication, they are: (i) neutrality, it is clear from conflict of interest in the publication processing; (ii) justice, it gives right to the writer to claim his/her papers; and (iii) Honesty, it is clear from duplicating, fabricating, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publication.       

Duties and Responsibilities of the journal processor 

1. Deciding the title of the journal, the study scope, the period, and accreditation if it is necessary.
2. Arranging the membership of editor committee.
3. Defining the relationship between the publisher, editor, experts, and other participants in the agreement.    
4. Respecting to the confidential things, whether it is for the contributed researchers, writers/authors, editors, and experts.
5. Applying norms and conditions about the rights of intellectual properties, especially the copyrights.
6. Studying the journal policies and deliver them to the authors/writers.
7. Creating code ethics guidance for editors and experts.
8. Publishing the journal regularly.
9. Giving guarantee the availability of funding sources for the continuity of journal publication.
10. Setting networks and marketing.
11.   Preparing the license and other legalizing things.

Duties and Responsibilities of editors

1. Meeting the readers and authors/writers requirements.
2.  Attempting to the increasing of publication quality continuously.
3.  Applying the process to assuring the quality of published papers/articles.
4. Promoting freedom of ideas objectively.
5. Maintaining the integrity of academic track record of the authors/writers.
6.  Submitting corrections, clarifications, returning, apologizing if necessary.
7. Responsible for the style and form the writing, whilst the content and any statements written in the writing is the responsibility of the writers/authors.
8. Actively asking the writer/authors, readers, experts, and the editors committee about their opinion and suggestion to increase the publication quality.
9. Promoting the assessment to the journal for each finding.
10. Supporting the ideas to decrease the research and publication errors by having the authors/writers to enclose their Ethic Clearance forms that have been approved by the Ethic Clearance Commission.
11. Participating ideas to educate the researchers about publication ethics.
12. Studying the effects of publication policies on the writers/authors and experts and fixing it in order to increase the responsibilities and minimize the errors.
13. Having open-minded attitude toward the new or others ideas which possibly oppose personal view. 
14. Do not force on his/her own view, authors/writers or third parties view that can cause in giving subjective decision.
15. Motivate the authors/writers in order to do constructive improvement to have the proper publications.

Duties and responsibilities of experts

1. Commanding duties from the editors committee to review the papers and deliver the results to the editors to determine a proper published paper.
2. The reviewers cannot review a paper which involves him/her self directly or indirectly.
3. Keeping the privacy of the authors to not publish the corrections, suggestions, and recommendations by giving critics, suggestions, and recommendations.
4. Encourage the authors/writers to do improvement to their papers.
5. Review again the papers that have been reviewed based on the standards.
6. The papers are reviewed in time based on the scientific standard form determined (Data collection method, the authorization of the author, conclusion, etc).

Duties and Responsibilities of the authors/writers

1. Ensure that the author who registers has met the requirements as an author.
2. Collectively responsible for his profession and the content of the article including the method, analysis, calculation/measurement, and details.
3. State the sources (including fund) directly or indirectly.
4. Explain the limits in his/her writing.
5. Give response to the correction given by the expert professionally and on time.
6. Inform to the editor if she/he wants to cancel his/her participation.
7.   Make a statement letter stated that the paper is genuine, never published in other publishers and in any other languages, and not in process of proposing to the other publishers.

Penulis yang mengirimkan karya tulis memahami bahwa jika diterima untuk publikasi, hak cipta dari artikel tersebut akan diberikan kepada penerbit jurnal JMathCoS.

Plagiarism

Editor akan menjalankan pemeriksaan plagiarisme untuk artikel yang dikirimkan sebelum dikirim ke reviewer. Kami tidak memproses konten yang dijiplak. Jika sebuah artikel memiliki lebih dari 20% plagiarisme berdasarkan hasil cek, kami akan mengirimkan kembali artikel tersebut kepada penulis untuk direvisi untuk konten yang dijiplak

The editor will run plagiarism check for the submitted articles before sending to the reviewers. We do not process any plagiarised contents. If a manuscript has over 20% of plagiarism based on the result of check, we will send back the manuscript to the author to be revised for the plagiarised contents
