This research uses a mixed method. The population of this study were seventh-grade students of MTs LAB Al Washliyah Medan with a total of 133 students. The sample was selected by purposive sampling, 30 students for quantitative data and 3 students for qualitative data. Qualitative data analysis methods involve the process of reducing, conveying and verifying data. Meanwhile, quantitative data uses hypothesis testing stages using factor analysis tests, simple linear regression and F tests. The results of qualitative data research show that conceptual errors in solving problems in the form of story problems based on Newman procedures are in line with the criteria for students' mathematical disposition. Quantitative data shows that there is only one factor formed and there is a significant influence between mathematical disposition and concept errors in solving story problems based on newman.
2024-03-18T09:20:19+08:00Copyright (c) 2024 hendrik rey panjaitanhttps://ojs.unm.ac.id/JDM/article/view/60718ETHNOMATHEMATIC EXPLORATION: DECORATIVE VARIETIES OF METHODOLOGICAL DELICATIONS2024-03-22T09:16:09+08:00Muthia Hanifahmuthiahanifah10@gmail.comTanti Jumaisyaroh Siregartantijumaisyaroh@uinsu.ac.idEthnomathematics is a mathematical science that continues to grow and develop, because cultural influences make learning mathematics no longer boring. Ethnomathematics has become a trend in the field of educational culture, apart from that, ethnomathematics also preserves the existence of cultural values in the future. This research aims to describe the exploration of the decorative variety of Malay deli. In Malay Deli culture there are knick-knacks as Malay Deli decorations, such as tepak betel, balai, and pending. The results of this research showed that mathematical concepts were found in the Malay Deli Decorative Variety. This means that Tepak Sirih, Balai, and Pending can be used as teaching aids in mathematics learning. The mathematical concepts contained in this research are the concept of flat shapes and spatial shapes, namely trapezoids on tepak betel and balai, rectangles on tepak betel, balai, as well as pockets on the kekak musang shirt, circles on the circumference of the head for climbers, as well as the concept of prisms. with an isosceles trapezoid base on the betel palm.2024-03-21T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2024 Muthia Hanifah, Tanti Jumaisyaroh Siregarhttps://ojs.unm.ac.id/JDM/article/view/59369The Impact of Implementation of STEAM Project on Mathematics Classroom Learning Environment2024-03-26T08:05:14+08:00Nurwati Djam'annurwati_djaman@unm.ac.id
This study aims to describe the students' perception of their mathematics classroom learning environments in class VIII of SMP IT Ar-Rahmah after implementing the STEAM Project. The type of research is a mixed method. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) the student mathematics learning outcomes are in the high category; (2) The perceptions of the learning environment indicate that the post-test scores were slightly higher than the pre-test scores for all scales: Student Cohesiveness, Teacher Support, Involvement, Investigation, Task Orientation, Cooperation, Equity; (3) The teacher prepared the project design in teaching the 3D shape, students also have to work in groups, communicate, presenting their work, and all the students had the opportunity to engage with mathematical content.
2024-03-26T08:05:14+08:00Copyright (c) 2024 Nurwati Djam'an
